The Baltimore Ravens have just bolstered their offense in a big way, agreeing to a one-year, $6 million deal with veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. A source close to the negotiations confirmed the news, though the signing won’t be official until free agency opens on Wednesday.

Hopkins, now 32, continues his AFC tour after wrapping up last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. While his 2024 campaign wasn’t his most explosive, he still managed to snag 56 receptions for 610 yards while splitting time between the Chiefs and the Tennessee Titans. Fans will remember his clutch touchdown grab in the Super Bowl, though Kansas City ultimately fell short against Philadelphia.

Over his 12-year career, Hopkins has built a resume worthy of Hall of Fame discussions. With 984 career receptions, 12,965 receiving yards, and 83 touchdowns, he’s proven time and again that he can make game-changing plays. As recently as 2023, he posted a 1,000-yard season with Tennessee before being traded to the Chiefs.

For the Ravens, this signing is a statement of intent. Pairing Hopkins with Lamar Jackson adds another lethal weapon to Baltimore’s offense alongside young playmakers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, as well as Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews and emerging talent Isaiah Likely.

This move follows a productive offseason for the Ravens, who locked down left tackle Ronnie Stanley with a fresh contract before he could hit the open market. Additionally, Baltimore retained fullback Patrick Ricard, ensuring continuity in their power run game.

With Hopkins in the mix, the Ravens are making it clear: they’re gearing up for a Super Bowl run in 2025. Get ready, Baltimore – the flock just got stronger.
